This past Thanksgiving weekend was filled with good times and favorite things. Brisk walks with furry pooches. Snuggles with all my boys. My mom’s cooking. Pumpkin pie. Wine. And also this apple coffee cake recipe (adapted from my mom’s recipe stash).

- Beat egg with sour cream and vanilla and pour, all at once, over dry ingredients.

- Arrange fruit slices in rows over the batter.
- Spoon brown sugar topping over fruit.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Enjoy!
